International Research Training Group GRK 3194 “Multidimensional Biomaterials [MB]²” funded by DFG

The International Research Training Group [MB]² – Multidimensional Biomaterials (GRK 3194) was approved by the German Research Foundation (DFG) for funding. The IRTG  is a joint PhD training programme between the University of Bayreuth and three leading Australian universities: The University of Melbourne, Monash University, and Swinburne University of Technology. The programme aims to train the next generation of researchers in cutting-edge biomaterials science, combining materials science, biomedical engineering, pharmaceutical science, and life sciences in 10 interdisciplinary tandem PhD projects. PhD students will be implemented in both research environments, both in Bayreuth and in Melbourne. In addition, PhD students can earn a joint doctoral degree from both countries upon spending 12 months at the partner institution. Funding will start in 2027.
